Obituary for Hamish Sturton

Sturton, Hamish MacLeod - Peacefully at home, surrounded by his family, on Friday, July 7, 2017 at age 73 years. Beloved husband of Trudy (nee Grealis) and father of Catriona and the late Neil. Survived by his sister Fiona (Andrew). Also lovingly remembered by his many in-laws, nieces, nephews, extended family and wide circle of friends.
Hamish was born in Glasgow, Scotland, and immigrated to Canada in 1969. He worked for Export Development Canada EDC for 35 years, retiring in 2012. Hamish will always be remembered for his warmth, gentle ways, sense of humour and his great love of travel and adventure. Special thanks to Dr. Cross, Dr. MacRae and Dr. Reaume for their care and guidance.
Friends are invited to visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street, (at O’Connor) on Monday, July 10, from 2 to 4 p.m., & 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service to be held in the Chapel on Tuesday, July 11 at 11 a.m., followed by a reception. Donations in Memory of Hamish to the May Court Hospice would be appreciated.
