Mrs. Szabo, Susan, John, Ellen and Jennifer: I felt so sad when I heard about the passing of your father. When my family and I moved to Ottawa in1968, I soon became a fixture at the Szabo household. From the beginning your dad and I developed a rapport and soon after I had the nickname "Baldy" pinned on him. Not to be outdone, your dad had the nickname "Fatty" put on me. Nevertheless, that is what we always called each other since but they were definitely terms of endearment. Your dad was a warm, friendly and caring father not only to all of you but to me as well, probably because he had no choice but to put up with that little Newfoundland girl who lived down the street. Memories of your dad and the rest of the Szabo household are forever etched in my mind, never to be forgotten. Indeed, the world has lost a wonderful man. Take care and God bless. Bonnie
