It is with great sadness we announce that Kaysa passed away peacefully on the evening of November 12, 2017 at the Rockcliffe Retirement Residence. Devoted wife to Alfred for 53 years, loving mother to Michael and Stephanie and grandmother to Oliver and Spencer. Kaysa also leaves behind her brothers Bengt (Mary) and Chris (Beth). Her 80 years were filled with grace, beauty and an endless joie de vivre. Born in Gothenburg, Sweden on July 12, 1937 she is predeceased by her parents Lennart and Asta Kuller and her brother Bosse. After graduating from business school in Stockholm Kaysa worked in television with director Ingmar Bergman. She moved to Montreal to work with her brother Bengt in the book business. After she married and moved to Ottawa she opened and ran a successful Scandinavian fabric and interior design store, Portobello Fabrics. Our family is very grateful for the support and kindness of the staff and residents of the Rockcliffe Retirement Residence. A memorial service will be held at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street (at O'Connor), Wednesday November 15 at 1pm. Shiva to be observed at the Rockcliffe Retirement Residence (100 Island Lodge Road) from 7-9pm on Thursday and Friday from 1-3pm.
