Obituary for Elsie Muriel Christie (Hammond)
January 16, 1927 – October 17, 2017
Beloved wife of the late Thoburn Christie; cherished sister of Lois Lyle, Cora Voteary and sister-in-law Morna Hammond; dearly loved aunt to three generations of nieces and nephews on both sides of her large extended family. Predeceased by siblings Hazel Sample, Gordon Hammond and Edith Hobbs as well as several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law and one niece Helen McRae.
With a deep Christian faith as her foundation, Muriel was quietly confident, and generous in spirit. We will miss her loving and positive presence in our lives.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Arlington Woods Free Methodist Church or the Canadian Bible Society would be appreciated by the family.
Friends are invited to the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 150 Woodroffe Road (at Richmond Road) on Saturday, October 21 from 11am until time of the service in the Chapel at 12noon.
