Obituary for Roderick Eric McCambley

Roderick Eric McCambley
On Thanksgiving Sunday, October 8, 2017, Roddy passed from this life peacefully, with the love of family all around him. Meeting him in Heaven was his spouse of 35 years, Lorraine MacLean, his parents and all those he loved who had passed before. His zest for life is to be carried on by his children Cindy (Neil), Wade (Tania)McCambley, Penny (Tom), and Steve (Linda)Warne, his grandchildren and great grandchild, Emmalee, Cameron, Hannah, Cooper, Everett, Michael, Lindsay, and Caleb, as well as his "angel" Pauline Emond and her cherished family, ( #'s 1, 2, 3 and 4, their children) his brother and sisters, nieces and nephews and many, many friends. Memorial Service to be held on Friday, October, 13th , 2017 at 1pm at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 925 Route 105, Venosta, QC, followed by a reception and Irish Wake at the Low Lions' Clubhouse at Tucker Lake, #717 Route 105 Low, QC. A private burial will be held at a later date. Roddy was a family man, a community leader, and a visionary. As a proud charter member of the Low & District Lions Club he served his community. Always good for a laugh, a beer, and a helping hand, Roddy loved life, loved people and loved his community. He was an avid volunteer, mixing work with fun. His mark has been left on many projects in the Gatineau Hills. In lieu of flowers, please volunteer to a project close to you, or consider a donation to GVRV (Gatineau Valley Retirement Village) project, #11 Chamberlain Rd, C.P. 209, Box Kazabazua, QC J0X 1X0.
