Maurice R.  Legault
Peacefully, at St. Patrick’s Home surrounded by the love of his family, passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2017, in his 84th year. Son of the late Alexandre Legault and the late Anaïse Simon. He was survived by his sister Pauline Amyot and predeceased by 3 brothers and 3 sisters.

Beloved wife of 58 years, Shirley (nee Mentzel). Loving father of his children, Paul (France), Susan, Lynne (Gilles), Marc & Gilles (Laura). Cherished grandfather of Philippe, Patrick, Deborah, Christopher, Sarah, Isabelle, Joshua, Mathieu, Christopher, Alex, Tyler and Brendan.

Maurice was founder, corps director and instructor of several drum and bugle corps as well as a member of the World Drum Corps Hall of Fame.

Friends may pay their respects at a service in memory of Maurice at the St. Ignatius Martyr Church, 518 Donald St., on Friday September 15, 2017, at 10:00am, and then join the family for light refreshments.

A l'âge de 83 ans, est décédé paisiblement le 12 septembre 2017 à la maison St. Patrick entouré d’amour et sa famille. Il est le fils de son père défunt Alexandre Legault et sa mère défunte Anaïse Simon. Il est survécu par sa soeur Pauline Amyot et précédé par ses 3 frères et 3 soeurs.

Bien aimée par sa femme de 58 ans Shirley (nee Mentzel). Tendre père de ses enfants Paul (France), Susan, Lynne (Gilles), Marc et Gilles (Laura). Affectueux grand-père de Philippe, Patrick, Deborah, Christopher, Sarah, Isabelle, Joshua, Mathieu, Christopher, Alex, Tyler et Brendan.

Maurice était le fondateur, directeur et instructeur de plusieurs corps de tambours et clairons ainsi que membre du “World Drum Corps temple de la renommée”.

Afin de rendre hommage à la douce mémoire de Maurice, les membres de la famille et amis peuvent se joindre au service à l'église St Ignatius, vendredi le 15 septembre 2017 à 10h, et par la suite pour un léger goûter.
