Passed away peacefully on Tuesday August 8, 2017 in his 90th year. Dearly beloved husband of Vera (Code). Loving father of Dwight and Terry. Father-in-law of Sandy and Ann. Fondly remembered by his three granddaughters, Danielle, Samantha and Emily, and his two grandsons, Ryan (Amy) and Jake. Lorne will be greatly missed by his many friends who were warmed by his humour and generous manner. His is survived by his sisters Mae (Johnson) and Amelia (Cavanagh). Predeceased by sister Marguerite (Gow) and brothers Reginald (Fern), Melvin (Mary), Wilbert, Elmer (Doris), Herman (Gweneth), Harold (Hazel), and Laurice (Leilah). We are grateful for the care and support of the Starwood nurses and staff, with a special thank you to his outstanding caregiver Charanjit. Friends are invited to visit at the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair, & McGarry, 150 Woodroffe Avenue (at Richmond Road), Ottawa, on Saturday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service Sunday, August 13, 2017 in the chapel of the Funeral Home at 1 p.m. A reception will follow the service.
