It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Orval Cameron Fitzpatrick on August 7, 2017 in Ottawa at age 85. Beloved husband of the late Mary Joan Fitzpatrick (nee Hendrick). Loving father of 7 children: Brian (Suzanne), Brenda (Alan), Maureen (Rodger), Julie (Sandy), Cindy (Donnie) Mike (Wendy) and Sheila (Eyon); 14 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Son of the late Nelson and Mabel Fitzpatrick and also predeceased by his late sister Alma. Loving brother of Mae, Evelyn and Hazel. Orval retired as a Warrant Officer after a 34 year career with RCAF. He spent many hours working on the family farm in Low, QC. Forever missed and remembered by family and friends. Gratitude to the staff at Ottawa General Hospital for their exemplary care. Funeral Service will be held at Emmanuel United Church, 691 Smyth Road, Ottawa, on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at 11 a.m., followed by a Graveside Service at Low United Cemetery at 3:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
