The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Alan Trafford can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Peter Lyall

Al was one of my earliest friends. My first ski trips were with Al to Banff and Utah in his old Volvo. Canoe trips, Blue Sea Lake, bike trips. The green shark tooth St Maurice Canoe was a familiar site on the Rideau River behind our place. Before we had cars we all had canoes. Al, Doug Grinell, Verne Perret - We would get in our canoes during spring flood and paddle up Mud Creek or paddle around the ice flows at the Dam. Al is part of my memories as a kid growing up on the Rideau in Manotick. I have a lot of good memories with Al and he will always be with me there. My thoughts are with you Linda, Mary and Ralph.
