Obituary for Judy Ann Paradis(nee Dalton)

Judy Ann Paradis(nee Dalton)
Peacefully surrounded by family on August 5, 2017, following a short battle with cancer. Daughter of the late Thomas and Katherine Dalton of St. John’s, Nfld. Her loving husband and best friend, Robert, two devoted daughters Michele (Lynne Carriere) and Rene Morrissey (James) and three cherished grand-daughters Laura (Kevin Laidman), Amy and Sarah will miss her dearly. Also mourning her loss, sister Mary Lou Halferty (Brian) and family. Predeceased by her brother Tommy.
Blessed with a keen intellect and quick wit, Judy was great company. She had numerous interests including bridge, cryptic crosswords and current events. She was also an avid tennis fan, known to put the world on hold every year during Wimbledon. Judy was the epitome of style and grace. An equal partner and foil to Bob during their postings with the RCMP in England and in Canada, they made lifelong friends and memories along the way.
The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Dr. Kasia Drzewiecki for her persistence, dedication to and care for Judy. Deepest thanks also to the doctors, nurses and other caring staff of the Palliative Care Team and CCAC who helped fulfil Judy’s wish to remain at home. The family is also extremely grateful for the support and kindness of friends and neighbours over the past few months.

Friends are invited to visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street (at O’Connor), on Friday August 11, 2017 from 11am until a Celebration of Judy’s life in the chapel at 1pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
