Condolence: I was saddened to hear of Ed's death and offer condolences to the family. Ed was a first rate officer and a fine man. He can rest in peace knowing that his country, fellow soldiers and subsequent employers were well served by his competence and determination.

Condolence From: Col (Ret'd) Tim Grubb
Condolence: When I first joined the regular force Military Police in 1984, Ed Sanford was the Senior Security Officer in Montréal. I was posted to 1 MP platoon in Calgary. He was a great boss and was always concerned about the troops. In every regard he was a great soldier and an inspiration to those around him.

My deepest condolences to the family on their loss.

Condolence From: Steven Mac Donald
Condolence: I was saddened to learn of Ed's passing. My sincere condolences to Ed's family.

I met Ed first as students on the Basic Officer Security Services course in 1973 and our paths crossed many times over the years.

I always admired Ed's willingness to challenge the status quo when he saw room for improvement. Those who wear the Red Beret today owe Ed a debt of gratitude.

Rest in peace old friend.
