I am sorry to learn the departure of your dear husband.
I was expecting to see both of you again this year at the Minto competition.
I have been a Minto member since 1965 and remember particularly your daughter Jil, an excellent skater.

Our deepest condolences on John's passing. Many a fond and fun memories of summer cottage adventures. Especially our ' carbon monoxide' ride from the cottage all those years ago.

You may know we lost Dad on Thanksgiving Monday (2016) and we are still feeling his loss.

Condolence: John or Mr. Reid , as I addressed him while in the office , was both a mentor and inspiration during the twenty some years we worked together at the city of Gloucester's Planning Dept. He was always a gentleman with wisdom and sage advice readilly available to those who asked and listened to him . I felt at times he knew me better that I knew myself . Never forgotten and remembered with utmost respect .

It was always a pleasure for me to chat with John during our many encounters at Minto. It was very obvious during our lovely lunch at your cottage last summer how much he enjoyed spending time there.
