Condolences

Condolence From: Barbara Ann MacMahon-Firestone
Condolence: Rev. J. Raymond Stokes - was and shall remain in my heart as the brother I always had. Raymond's grandmother knew my late grandfather Dr. J. James MacMahon of St. Catharines |Ontario. Through all of life's storms and joys we always seemed to be together. My two sons Patrick and Peter Maingot called him Uncle Ray. Our children spent early childhoods together. Holidays were always celebrated together. One year during a very sad time for me - Raymond, Barbara and I were invited by my dear spiritual advisor to come to Italy and stay in his brothers summer home in Anzio and Rome. following the passing of my late husband, Ray arrived one morning with a huge bouquet of flowers and said I've just been thinking and praying for you. For the past 8yrs Raymond called me every Sunday evening. I would like to express my great appreciation for the fabulous Staff at the Windsor Home and Cannon Catherine of Christ Church Cathedral in Ottawa for all their support, telephone calls and prayers. NOTE: Raymond met and became a friend of Father Wilfrid Jainesse - the Basilian Fathers are saying a special Mass in honour of Raymond.
RIP. dear Raymond you were an original. Gone but never forgotten.
